An autonomous interdisciplinary research and scientific training laboratory established in 2019, registered under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
Sivan Bioscience Research & Training Laboratory (SBRTL) is an independent research and scientific training laboratory based at Sakkottai, Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, established in 2019. SBRTL was founded to undertake cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, provide hands-on laboratory research training, mentor postgraduate and doctoral scholars, and develop collaborative research programmes with universities, research institutions, and healthcare/biotechnology organizations.
The laboratory has developed a distinctive research programme based on the biological synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials and their application in vector control, antimicrobial research, environmental remediation, and biomedical cancer research.

Under his leadership, SBRTL has served as a productive mentoring environment for 13 Ph.D. scholars and 50+ postgraduate researchers, resulting in 45+ publications in prestigious journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and SCI.
